Over 100 Children a day are being diagnosed with acute malnutrition in Gaza
Kevin Shakil

According to UNICEF, an average of 112 children per day were diagnosed with acute malnutrition in Gaza between January and May 2025. In June alone, over 6,500 children were diagnosed, and another 5,000 cases were recorded in just the first two weeks of July.
Despite repeated warnings from humanitarian agencies, the blockade on aid and food continues to choke Gaza’s civilian population, leaving children like Mohammed to suffer and starve in plain sight.
As images like his continue to circulate, the question remains: how many more children must endure such suffering before the world acts?
