NYC becomes Major Hub for Nationwide “NO KINGS” Protests

NEW YORK — March 28, 2026 — Thousands of demonstrators gathered in Manhattan this weekend for the nationwide “No Kings” rally, marking one of the largest protest turnouts in New York City this year.

The march began near Columbus Circle and moved down Seventh Avenue, with crowds filling the streets and calling attention to issues including civil liberties, immigration policies, and the rising cost of living.

The demonstration remained largely peaceful, with a visible NYPD presence throughout the route.

Among those present were New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, New York Attorney General Letitia James, and civil rights leader Al Sharpton.

Organizers say the rally is part of a broader national movement, with similar protests taking place across the country.
